The Beaded Artisans Association is a group of artisans dedicated to providing authentic handcrafted beaded artworks. Our members provide a variety of beaded art from jewelry, clothing, home accessories, personal affects and more. Each artisan who displays our emblem on their website or business adhere to guidelines that their merchandise is handmade by them personally. No finished products or items that have been mass-produced by machines on a large scale, or manufactured in large factories may be offered by the artisan.
As beautiful handcrafts are created in a variety of styles, we proudly support and recognize beaded artisans around the world. These crafters may be located in our International Section in their respective countries.
Applicants
must list the names of all beaders whom actually craft their handmade products.
All finished products/items must be crafted by the registered member(s).
All
finished items/products must be crafted by hand.
All
items must be of a beaded design and nature.
To
maintain the high standard of our Association, we strongly advise members
to not sell their handmade items in Flea Markets, Garage/Yard or Estate
Sales.
Neighborhood
Craft Shows and Holiday Festivals are permissable.
Members
may not outsource any portion of their craft or craft assembly to third-parties.
Department
Stores, Fashion Outlets, Discount Chains, Retail Outlets, International
businesses will not be able to participate with the Association.
There are No Exceptions to the above requirements.
There are no application fees. Membership is chosen by the applicant, and upon their approval, is determined upon the length of time the artisan registers as a member.
An applicant may also choose additional categories in which to be listed. Applicants who wish to be listed in more than one category have the option to select additional categories on the application, and will be assessed $15 per additional category. The fees for additional category listings are assessed only one time.
Members will receive a confirmation email from the Association notifying them of their acceptance or denial. When a member receives an approval, they will be given instructions on completion of the membership. The new member must select the membership which they specified in their original application. Payment must be completed within three days of the approval email. Failure to do so will cancel the application and void acceptance. Once payment for membership dues has been made, the new member will be sent their new membership emblem.

The Association is dedicated to ensuring the availability of truly handmade beaded crafts. As such, periodic inspections of member's websites are conducted to verify compliance with our requirements and standards. Any violation of the Association's emblem, membership requirements, Code of Ethics, or Association rules by the member/crafter(s) will automatically cancel the member's association, result in the removal of links, the member will be stripped of their emblem, all future membership applications with the Beaded Artisans Association will be denied.
All members, regardless of membership type, can receive all benefits offered with this Association, including discounts with sponsors. The sponsors listed offer discounts specially for our Association members, allowing our members to receive these special discounts, not available to the general public.
Sponsors on our website are not required to extend discounts to the members outside the time specified on their link. Sponsors have the option to discontinue their offered discounts for our members with a 30-day written notice. In this event, the members will be notified.
After the application has been received, the applicant will be notified via email of their acceptance or denial, within three business days. Once the application has been approved, the membership fee will be assessed. After being notified of approval, the membership fee will need to be paid within three business days in order to activate the membership. An applicant will be emailed the instructions for completion of payment and be able to select the membership, and any additional category listings, which they specified in their application. After their selection, the new member will be directed securely to Paypal to complete their transaction. They will receive a confirmation email from Paypal after their payment has been completed.
Members who choose the Gold, Silver, or Platinum memberships will need to pay for their memberships at the one time total, and may not pay monthly. Refer to the above totals for the exact amount for the listed memberships.
After the membership fee has been received, the member will receive a direct link to their website from the Association's website. They will also receive an emailed image of the Association's emblem, for the member to display. This will promote the new member as a true handcrafting beaded artisan. The emblem may be displayed on the member's website that was listed on the application, their related business cards, and other marketing materials of the member relating to their beaded craft, promoting their affiliation with our Association. The emblem may NOT be displayed or used to promote any business not approved by the Association.

The table above specifies the four types of memberships available, time frame of when reminder invoices will be sent to the member, and when the membership payment is due. Payments which are not received by the 10th of the following month will result in the permanent removal of the member's affiliation and listing with the Association.
Invoice reminders will be sent to the email addresses listed on the original application, so please ensure that the email address is current and notify the Association if the email address needs to be corrected.
Membership fees are non-refundable. If a member chooses to end their membership prior to the term expiration, dues will not be refunded.
The Association has four types of memberships. Basic, Gold, Silver and Platinum are the four levels for our members. The memberships are based upon the length of time an artisan chooses to be with the Association. They are as follows:

Members with Silver or Platinum Memberships will receive a 5% discount (per referral) off future membership renewal if they refer a crafter who becomes approved and signs up for Gold, Silver or Platinum Memberships. The referring member is limited to three referrals per membership term, for up to a 15% total discount per term for the referring member. Members with Basic Memberships are not eligible for the referral discount program.
