1. Who may become a member of BAA?

Our association promotes all artisans, whether they are stay-at-home mothers with a hobby or successful business owners. We promote all artisans who utilize their talents and creativity to design and assemble quality handcrafted beaded artwork.

2. What are the various types of memberships?

Our association has four different memberships available to crafters. All our memberships offer members with a listing and direct link to their website. In addition, the members receive an Association emblem to be placed on the crafter's website. Members will also receive special discounts from beading companies which sponsor and support the Association.

3. What do the various memberships cost and what are the years of membership?

The memberships are priced as follows and are determined by the length of years crafter is a member with our Association.

4. Can I pay my annual membership dues safely using PayPal online?

Yes you can. Paypal utilizes a very fast and secure system that enables personal and financial information to be processed quickly and protected. Paypal is utilized by many organizations and websites as their preferred payment processor. None of the personal or financial information processed through Paypal is viewed by us.

Emblem Usage:

5. In what ways may the Association emblem be utilized?

The emblem may be displayed on the member's website that was listed on the application only, their related business cards, and other marketing materials of the member promoting their beaded crafts, promoting their affiliation with our Association. The emblem may NOT be displayed or used to promote any business not approved by the Association and which was not disclosed on the application. The Association's emblem may not be utilized in any manner harmful to the reputation or image of the Beaded Artisans Association, a false, hateful, racist, oppressive, implied or misleading endorsement, sponsorship, a violation of any law, regulation, public policy, or the rights of individuals. Violation of any rules will cancel the membership and void all future applications and affiliations.

6. I don't have a PayPal account. What do I do ?

That is not a problem. You can utilize a credit card or bank debit card to pay via Paypal, even if you do not have an account.

7. Do you guarantee authenticity all items offered by your members ?

We review all applications received for membership and in this process, we work hard to ensure that all products created by the applicant's are handmade by them personally. If we determine that an applicant does not handcraft their items, their application is denied. All members are required to agree to our Code of Ethics, prior to being accepted as a member, which certifies that each item is crafted by the applicant/member. Due to the volume of applications and members, we are not able to monitor and inspect every product created by these members. If you have purchased an item from a member, and you have a question regarding that item, please contact the member directly. If it is discovered that an item purchased is not handmade by the member, please notify us as soon as possible. The member will be stripped of their emblem, removed from our listing, and not be able to apply for future membership. Please note that due in part to the volume of applications, members being located nationwide, inclusion of handmade businesses and work-at-home hobbies, and wide variety of crafts, our Association is not responsible in any way for any mis-representation that may arise from the members.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to verify an application for membership and to process your application. We will not pass your e-mail address to any companies.
