Code of Ethics

A member of The Beaded Artisans Association shall:

1. Promote the recognition of beaded artisans.
2. Demonstrate and conduct business with honesty, integrity and respect.
3. Maintain ethical conduct and fair dealings with and between all artisans, suppliers and consumers.
4. Conduct themselves and their business professionally and with politeness.
5. Refrain and abstain from any companies, individuals and dealings that are fraudulent, deceptive, unethical or illegal.
6. Conduct their sales/business in accordance with all local, state and federal laws.
7. Utilize good quality assembly procedures in crafting their work.
8. Satisfy the needs of customers in knowledgeable and honest manners.
9. Ensure that their craftwork will be safe for use by consumers and their families. Any concerns regarding the safety and/or functionality of any craft must be properly identified and disclosed.
10. Work to efficiently resolve consumer concerns/complaints with courtesy and professionalism.
11. Instill the highest level of quality and craftsmanship possible within their craftwork.
12. Protect all information utilized in business transactions with customers to the best of the member's ability, against fraud and mishandling.
13. Uphold and promote the principles of this Code.

The purpose of our Code of Ethics is to ensure that our members work and sell their craftwork in open and honest manners, and with professionalism. If a member violates any portion of these Code of Ethics, the Association reserves the right to terminate the membership without a refund of dues, and all future applications will be denied.
