About Our Group

 

 

The Beaded Artisans Association is a group of artisans dedicated to providing authentic handcrafted beaded artworks. Our members provide a variety of beaded art from jewelry, clothing, arts and crafts, home accessories, personal affects and more. Each artisan who displays our emblem on their website adhere to guidelines to ensure that their products are handmade by them personally. We do not offer items that have been mass-produced. In addition to our Association's membership requirements, a Code of Ethics is in place to ensure that our members operate in ethical and professional manners, while promoting original, unique designs that encompass quality and talent.

No items which have been mass-produced, or created in large factories may be offered by any of our artisans. We do not restrict nor oppose the purchase of beading materials internationally, some of which are beautifully crafted in a variety of countries. Sparkling Swarovski crystals from Austria, and stunning glass beads from Murano, Italy and the Czech Republic are examples of the exquisite materials utilized by our beaders. Our goal is to (1) create a listing of handcrafting artisans which create quality handmade beaded products, and (2) educate shoppers of the vast difference between 'Authentic Handmade' and 'Retail Handmade'. Skill, originality, time, design, and their reputation are components of our member's works, and we believe these are respectable qualities not found in mass-produced products.

We are proud to offer this service to promote the many fine artisans of beaded handcrafts nationwide and encourage visitors to shop with confidence that their selections of any of the beaded artwork crafted by our members are truly authentic, and will become unique treasures for years to come.
